TÜRKAK – The Turkish Accreditation Agency is the national accreditation body of the Republic of Turkey with an autonomous structure affiliated to the Ministry of the European Union. TURKAK’s principle of establishment is to carry out the accreditation of the institutions that provide services in the product, system, laboratory, and inspection subjects as well as to monitor these bodies by giving them credit within standardizations. The accreditation standards are based on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Türkak has signed a mutual recognition agreement with the European Accreditation Association in all the accreditation fields subject to mutual recognition agreements and has been serving as a full member since 2008. The global acceptance of services and the trust mechanism between organizations are established through multilateral recognition agreements with organizations such as IAF (International Accreditation Forum), ILAC (International Laboratory Accreditation Association) and EA (European Accreditation Association), which have been established by various accreditation bodies.
We have certified your trust in us, now the whole world trusts us too
BML has recently been awarded this quality standard, which is highly demanded by medical laboratories both in Turkey and Europe. In addition to this success, BML has been accredited the “TS EN ISO 15189:2014 Medical Laboratory Accreditation” a certificate that is under the “TURKAK” name, in January 2017.
BML’s has managed to have its name written in gold letters following its entitlement to this certification due to not only being the first and only medical examination centre that holds this certificate in North Cyprus, but also the 33rd medical laboratory to hold such certificate in Turkey (which accommodates over 5,000 medical laboratories)
British Medical Laboratory has received this accreditation for 57 different medical tests including biochemistry, serology, hormone tests and hematology. Furthermore, this number exceeds the number of accredited tests that belong to a “reference medical laboratory” from Turkey.
ISO 9001:2008: The core basis of the problems we face in North Cyprus health care industry is due to a lack of international inspections. Thus, we have enclosed our qualifications with world-class certification programmes that we have been continuously attending since our establishment. In 2015, we have been entitled to receive the ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System certificate signed by ‘TUV Australia‘ and continue to maintain an updated certificate each year.
